In today's fast-paced world, eating well has stopped feeling like a pleasure and started feeling like another task on the list.
For Mexicans living far from home, that loss runs deeper. It's not just nutrition. It's the flavors, the ritual, the feeling of sitting at a table that knows you.
Nanu was born to bring that back.
A heritage food brand based in Houston with its heart firmly planted in Zacatecas, México. Built with a clear purpose: wholesome food that never sacrifices the comfort of home, for people who care about what they eat and where they come from in equal measure.
Our creative challenge was to make the brand feel like a long-distance embrace. And the naming said it all.
"Nanu" comes from the Mixtec word for "to hug oneself." Not just a brand name, an act. A philosophy. Every package wraps around its tortillas and its legacy with the same intention.
The visual system drew from Mexican kitchen graphics: vibrant color, texture, hand-drawn typography and the warm, lively aesthetic of the street stands, diners and family homes where the most real meals are made.
Every decision was made with intention and respect for the culture behind it. No stereotypes, no shortcuts. Just an honest brand for people who know that eating well is also a way of taking care of who you are.
