From a single stall at the Chatswood market to a full restaurant in Sydney, built on love for Korean food culture and the belief that one good thing deserves to grow.
Lydia and Kev started with a stall.
No big strategy, no investor deck. Just a market in Chatswood, Sydney, a love for Korean street food, and the belief that a hotteok, that warm, sweet, slightly crispy Korean pancake that belongs on every night market in the world, deserved a place at the table in Australia.
It caught on. And then some.
What started as a local favorite became a benchmark for Korean food culture in Sydney. And when the moment came to make the leap to their own restaurant, they came to us to build the brand that could carry that story forward.
We were immediately drawn to their energy. The love Lydia and Kev have for their home culture comes through in everything they do. That became our brief.
We built the rebrand around the world of K-pop: vibrant colors, joyful character design, illustration and a visual personality that feels as alive and generous as the food itself. A brand that doesn't just tell you what I am Hotteok is — it makes you want to be part of it.
From a market stall to a restaurant. One very good idea at a time.
(And if you're wondering what a hotteok actually is, follow them on Instagram. Trust us.)
