That was the challenge when Peepal People 🦜 reached out to us. They were about to relaunch their brand an ode to South Asian flavors and needed images that felt as alive and layered as their food. We didn’t hop on a plane, but we did travel far. Mentally, emotionally, creatively we went to Pakistan without ever leaving Mexico City. Our goal? To tell a story rooted in South Asian identity, through color, composition, and care. We dove into moodboards filled with spices, saris, family gatherings, mangoes, neon signs, tiffin carriers, and ancestral warmth. This wasn’t just about food. It was about heritage. And about honoring it without falling into clichés. The challenge was to translate flavor into feeling. We had to balance tradition with modernity. Honor nostalgia without looking dated. Create a shoot that felt vibrant, soulful, and full of intention just like the brand itself. We shaped a visual direction that was bold yet warm, curated yet human. From prop hunting in hidden mercados to setting up homemade backdrops, every detail was chosen with purpose. On set, it clicked. The light, the textures, the energy. It all came together in images that not only looked delicious, but told a story of belonging, identity, and pride. Because branding isn’t just logos and colors. It’s storytelling.
